I truly can not say enough about how hard my husband works to support our family. He truly goes above and beyond for us, and we try to never take him for granted.
He’s a great father to our kids, encouraging them and playing with them…spending the time learning Spanish homework and helping our son with fractions when just reading the question gave me a headache. Coming to church and having friends who are also great role models as dads…might sound weird but it sets an example to my children of what great dads/husbands are.
He’s not the dad on his phone sitting on the bench at the park, he’s up and playing football or pushing swings….
I, however, am totally the mom on her phone while dad is on duty…and yes that is dirt on my daughters face…
We aren’t millionaires so I can’t fly him away in a jet for a weekend trip to Germany…or even a weekend trip to Chicago to the Haufbraugh House (He went to Germany many years ago and loved it)..but if he sends me a recipe he thinks he’ll like I will cook it for him! With extra love!
He sent me a video he saw of a Buffalo Chicken Ring and said he thought it looked good, so I made sure to put it on the menu for this week!
Buffalo Chicken Ring
Ingredients
3 cups of shredded chicken
8oz softened cream cheese
1/4 cup Sriracha
1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
1/4 cup ranch
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 packages of crescent rolls
Preheat oven to 400
Combine the cream cheese, Buffalo sauce, and Sriracha
Once those are well combined add the chicken and mix well
Add the shredded cheese and stir to combine
Lay the crescents out on a round baking pan in the shape of a circle
Spoon the chicken mixture onto the crescents
Fold the crescents over and press them lightly to “seal” them
Place in oven for 18-22 minutes, until the crescents are golden brown
Cut it with a pizza cutter and serve it up!
We dipped ours in ranch, but I imagine bleu cheese would be super good too!
My husband was not disappointed, and the rest of us were pleasantly surprised! This will definitely be making an appearance on our weekly menu again!
Looks yummy!! I make taco rings and Pizza rings with the same method 😉

Mmmm that sounds SO good, and I love that it uses crescent roll dough. That’s one of my favorite types of bread.

It is so nice that you did something so sweet for your husband. My partner is like him as well, very attentive and there for the whole family. Maybe I should make this for him as well.
